Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was malty and roasty with floral hops. The flavor was sweet with roasty malt, nut, floral hops, coffee and cocoa. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

Sampled on draft this beer poured an almost black color with a trace soapy beige head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was malty with strong nut and a bit of whiskey. The flavor was strong nut, malt, wood, and faint whiskey. Long finish. Full bodied and smooth. Whiskey compliments but does not overpower.
