Description
Against The Grain offers an eclectic line of canned and barrel-aged beers. We can be found in up to 43 states in the good o' USA, upwards of 25 countries around the world, and, of course, right here the home in Louisville, KY.

Against the Grain Portland is our production facility. We have a three vessel 30 barrel system alongside five 60 barrel fermenters and our canning line. We also barrel age all of our beer at this location. (only open for special events)

Tap at brewpub. Floral grapefruit hops and caramel aroma.Clear light amber with a small white ring. Piney grapefruit hops and caramel flavor. Medium body.

Draft at brewpub. Orange malt and peel aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Light orange malt and moderately bitter citrus peel hops. Nice, hop forward beer.

From tap at Bishops Arms. Pours hazy dark brown to black witha small tan head. Aroma is fruity hoppy, toasted dark malty and light liqourice. Bitter, mild fruity and toasted malty. Bitter and bone dry finish.

Draft. A dark brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, and dried fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and dried fruits, leading to a bitter finish.

On tap at local option. Pours a near clear very dark brown with a brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of coffee with backing dark grains, roasted malt and a hint of licorice. Flavor has coffe and roasted malts with a hint of underlying licorice.

Draft at Mikkeller, Copenhagen. Clear dark red beer. Small pale tan head. Light crisp palate. A little malt cream, mild smoke. Not bad. Slipped down easy enough with grabbing too much of my attention.

On tap at local option. Pours a clear amber orange with a clean white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is smokey with a note of bacon and cured meats. Flavor starts with a bread note but is quickly taken over Nya light smoked meat note.

On tap at local option. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a bit of coffee with some dark grains and a hint of sweetness. Flavor has some deep grains and a hint of coffee with a bit of musty bread.

Draught @ Forårsøllet springer ud på fairbar, Fairbar, Norre Alle 66, 8000 Aarhus, Denmark.Light light unclear medium yellow - amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, pale malt, moderate hoppy, fruity, blod orange, butter - iron - iodine notes. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, bold orange, caramel malt, fruity, fresh. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120414]

Tap @ MikkellerBar. Deep copper with small tan head. Aroma is malt, fruit and smoke. Flavour is malt, medium sweet, smoke, caramel, little toffee, hop and a little bitter.
