Bottle at Pomalo, Zagreb. Dark brown body, beige head. Chocolate, dried fruit and peppery phenols (quite strong) in the aroma. Well carbonated but smooth taste, more phenols over a pleasant maltiness, nutty, lightly fruity and roasty, a bit warming... dunno... The yeast could have been better handled here for this to work in my opinion.

Bottle from Pomalo, shared with Hrabren. So this is a barley malt-only beer made with Hefe yeast... Dampfbier? Eh. Murky ochre body, off white head. Phenolic aroma, meaty yeastiness, sweetish malty touches, the hefe yeast well in evidence, but not optimally used perhaps. Lean taste, phenolic clove notes, peppery, sweetish maltiness and, again, meaty yeastiness. Not great.

0.5 l bottle from Pomalo Beer Shop, Zagreb. Shared with Marko, thanks. Brown, small beige head. Chocolate and phenols. Nuts, roasted malts. Some fruit emerges. Dry, phenolic flavour, dark malts, chocolate, some dried fruit, some sugar. Soft texture, soft to moderate carbonation, dry finish. A bit too harsh overall.

0.5l bottle from Pomalo. Hazy deep amber body, thick off white head. Jammy citric notes, apricot, quite okay really, light coconut. Taste... definitely light coconut, soft, thin. Surely they have changed their hops, or they are just coming through better now - this is now so much better than the other guys are describing, though still not quite a top tier pale ale, far from it. Wonder which hops they used, they are classically for German aromatics, shy, but still interesting enough. A subdued everyday beer.
