Draught @ Duck Foot Brewing Co, San Diego. Aroma is very mild with some honeyish malt. Flavour has minerals, honey and some apricot. Clean but not my thing.

Draught @ Duck Foot Brewing Co, San Diego. Aroma has resin, berries and toffee candy. Also smoke and toastiness. Flavour has toffee candy, some berries and resin. Also minerals. Unusual.

Draught @ Duck Foot Brewing Co, San Diego, CA

Pours clear yellowish orange with a tiny head. Aroma of juicy fruits, grassy hops, citrus and lemon. Taste is smooth, sweetish and juicy fruity with hints of citrus and lemon. Finish is smooth, juicy and fruity with hints of citrus. Okay, a bit sweetish.

Pours dark reddish with a small head. Aroma of berries, malts and earthy notes. Taste is sweet, stuffy and malty with some earthiness and yeasty notes. Finish is sweet, sticky and sweetish. Quite sweet.

Pours clear orange with a smooth head. Aroma of fruits, honey, caramel, toffee and syrup. Taste is sweetish, malty and ripe fruity with some honey and toffee notes. Finish is sweet, malty and stuffy. Decent.

Pours dark reddish brown with a smooth head. Aroma of caramely malts, toffee, syrup, berries and hints of fruits. Taste is stuffy, malty and caramely with some berries, toffee and syrup. Finish is crisp, malty and caramely. Decent.

Draught @ Duck Foot Brewing Co, San Diego. Aroma has funky yeasty tones and grass. Also cereal. Flavour has cereal, grassy hops and some apricot. Also oaty notes. Clean but a bit boring.

Poured up on tap at K & B Wine Cellars where it exhibits a clear deep gold body that supports a white head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up pleasing levels of pineapple and mango blended with mild fresh citrus hop notes. The taste is just what I’m after. The smooth body ushers in juicy pineapple and tangelo leading into some mango pieces. A few more sips reveals the modest booziness going on here tangled up with growing hop bitterness. Pretty solid as it’s full of hoppiness and bitterness as well as being a little rough around the edges, as an IIPA should be.
