Can from Tavour. Pours dirty, hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is citrus/pale prunus/light malt. Med body. Flavor is citrus - indeed something like pulp and zest, juicy, not too far off dry, enough malt to be noticeable, and bitter enough to get the job done. Way more NEIPA than WCIPA for sure. The flavor is marvelous. Gets a bit mucky in the mouth in the finish.

Can from Tavour. Pours lightly hazy gold with a decent foamy white head. Aroma has fruit and a touch of toffee. Med body. Flavor has earth, citrus, green onion, green melon. Quite dry. Rather bitter. Nice flavor.

Tall can from Brewcraft at home. Mostly clear golden yellow pour with white fluffy head. Aroma is classic west coast DIPA, Stone-y with intense pine and grapefruit rind. Taste follows with bracing bitter bite, dank pine and some citrus pith. Solid malt balances and provides some sweetness throughout. Palate is a bit heavy but not slick. Some slight sawdust flavor in the middle oddly. Alcohol and astringency give it a real punch on the finish, a little too sharp maybe. Delicious nonetheless. Huge piney DIPA - give it a try if you’re a fan of classic Stone beers or others like it.

In honor of American Thanksgiving I figured I’d crack a US brew: Culmination Additive Synthesis Black Lager 5.6% Schwarzbier aren’t my favorite but this pours a deep cola brown with a foamy tan head and roasty cocoa and toasted oats aroma. Medium bodied and fairly smooth mouthfeel. The taste is a bit roasty but mostly smooth cocoa. Well balanced and goes down a treat.

Culmination Love in Shadows 10.8% Pastry Stout w/ Cocoa, Cherry & Vanilla Deep viscous black with a mild cherry cocoa aroma. Full bodied and you don’t get the alcohol though you do get some warmth in your belly afterwards. The taste is sweet syrupy cherries and cocoa. Quite well balanced and having a few berry sweets really makes that cherry shine. Apparently, this was a special 4th Anniversary release which I got via a trade. I’m surprised it wasn’t already on RB.
