12oz can pours a murky amber with some creamy, off white head. Nose is grainy, apple, cracker, light nut, some mild citrus. Flavor, especially when it warmed, was very grainy, whole grain bread, almost a little brown rice, a little grass, straw, citrus. Clean, grainy finish. Gristy.

Bottle. Pours near black with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of roasted malts and dark grains with a bit of earthy pine underlying. Flavor is similar with strong roasted malts and dark grains up front that mellow slightly to allow a finish with a bit of bitter/earthy pine.
