Draught at source: pours dark brown with beige head. Nutty and malty. Light sweetness but kind of dry. Pleasant and sessionable.

On tap at The Courtyard, pours jet black with a small tan head. Nose is full of extracts — lots of amaretto, with the nuts further back — ugh. Flavour is not sweet at all, really, with tons of amaretto extract, marzipan, and dry roast. Another extract stout. Not my thing but not egregious.

On tap at The Courtyard, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma smells like pure mashed banana extract, with some dark sugars. Flavour is much less banana-forward and basically not sweet at all somehow; there's definitely residual sugars here but it seems so much less so than the nose suggests. There's a very artificial aftertaste to it but it's not completely egregious. Odd but fun, but barely drinkable honestly.

On tap at The Courtyard, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Nose is a cinnamon bomb, with a thin malt base underneath. Flavour is likewise mostly a function of the cinnamon — the base beer is thin for a barley wine and not providing much depth through that cinnamon. Its alright.

On tap at The Courtyard, pours a hazy darkish golden orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted caramel, bready malt and some muted earthiness. Flavour is malty, with plenty of bready malt, toasted caramel, and brown sugar. This doesn't really seem on point: there's plenty of sugars but not much malt depth. It's alright.

On tap at The Courtyard, pours a mostly clear reddish amber with a small beige head. Aroma is subtle, with soft grape skins, a touch of Concord grape juice, and a dry earthiness to it. Flavour is grape-y, with dry grape skins — not in a winey way — with a dry earthiness. Not much complexity but it's pleasant and inoffensive.

On tap at The Courtyard, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out plenty of wild yeast, stone fruits, acidity, and a touch of oak. Flavour is fruity but quite acidic, with balsamic notes, too much candied fruity acidity, some residual sweetness, and a touch of oak. Too acetic and green apple-y. This doesn't work.

On tap at The Courtyard, pours a mostly clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with bright piney hops, some tropical fruits — melon especially — along with gentle citrus. Flavour is tropical, with tons of melon, citrus zest, and piney, with a bit of candied stone fruits. Quite dry, which I appreciate, finishing with tons of pine and candied stone fruit. Excellent.
