Draft at Plan 9 Alehouse - Escondido. Pours hazy amber-brown with a creamy, off-white head. The nose is heavy on the whiskey, with hints of toffee, ripe fruits and mild oxidation. Medium sweet flavor and it tasted a lot like straight whiskey, with warming alcohol and ripe fruits. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with more straight whiskey character, hefty wood, slight vanilla, woody bitterness, dried fruits. The barrel character completely dominates and there is little to no brett/ sour character here. Meh.
