Keg at the brewpub. Lightly hazy pale golden, mid sized head. Spicy herbal nose with some red apples. Mid sweet with light body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Somewhat green and rough. Mildly grassy. Mid bitter finish.

Keg at the brewpub. Clear pale bronze colour, creamy head. Fruity, bready nose. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Bready and grassy. Mid bitter finish. Totally different than the beer pictured here, and also totally a regular festbier.

On tap at the brewpub. Fast klare hell goldgelbe Farbe, geringe weiße schaumkrone. Geruch ist getreidig malzig, Heu. Geschmack ist mild hopfig, Heu, grasig, okay.

Draft at the source. Slightly hazy deep amber color, thick cream colored head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of lightly floral stone fruit. Taste is very sweet, bready, malty, fruity esters, only very slight bitterness, so it seems unbalanced. Very commendable to see a German brewer bucking tradition and making an IPA! Very brave, very adventurous. Keep it up!
