Sample at the taproom. Cloudy yellow-orange color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lace. Aroma of hops, yeast, fruit and peppers. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, herbal yeast and subtle chili pepper. The finish is fruity hops and mild pepper. Decent overall.

Sample at the taproom. Slightly hazy copper-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes gradually to a lingering film. Sticky patches of lace. Aroma of herbal hops, oak, fruit and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of passionfruit, floral hops, malt and a touch of oak. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Light-bodied with flavors of bready malt. fruit and mild grassy hops. The finish is malty with a fruity yeast and hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the taproom. Dark brown color with some amber around the edges, and a medium thin light beige head that dissipates quickly to a dense film. Sparse small patches of lace. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of roast malt, milk chocolate, mild hops and stone fruit. The finish is roasty with a malt aftertaste.

Refrigerated brown bomber, aged in 5 barrels. Black with medium light brown head. Aroma is chocolate, thick body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is chocolate, wood, and booze.

My $2 brown can does not say old stone fort, it just says stone fort and its 5% not 5.3, so I hope my rating is in the right spot. It also says its a dry brown ale @ 20 IBU in the description on the can. What ever. Volatile nose with a brown pour. Big fat foaming head that wants crest the top of the mug after each short pour from the can. Considering this stuff says dry, I found it to be OK on the taste. Its certainly not hop bitter and this dark beer comes across quite friendly, even at 60 degrees. However, there is barely any carbonation, makes it seem like a stout. Yes, that big head is hard to master especially since it doesn't fade. It just goes craggy and stays there, clear to the last drop. Went down fairly easy.

Sample at Eclipse Company Store as part of Ohio Brew Week. Clear purplish-amber color with a medium frothy pinkish-white head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of berries, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of tart blackberry, herbal yeast and doughy malt. The finish is tart with a berry aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Blue can for a buck fitty at vintage in boardman. Nice big foaming pour in the mug, does not fade rapidly. Clear pale. Very good co2 on the uptake. Sizzles, quite interesting even tho it has some hops. Yea, enough hops that it should be styled as an APA. That carbonation really makes the hops a little less notifiable, but they are still there. I want to say its almost an IPA but just doesn't git-thar. Not bad, considering that weird volatile citrus perfume olfactory thing that happens after every swig. Yes, feels like more than 5% fer sher.

Sample during Earth Day at The Crest Gastropub on 04/28/2019. Clear pale orange-gold color with a medium white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of floral hops, fruit and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of floral hop, malt, tea and fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity and hoppy aftertaste. Above average overall.

Can, and I'm not a fan of impy stout so flip my numbers when you see them; lower the better fer you. A very pretty dark ass pour, with a sweet wafting aroma. Taste? yes, it is imperial, but like chocolate liquor filled candy; ever have that? Imperial it is but the alky content doesn't stick its rude head up till the middle. Then by now you are feeling a bit dizzy. Yes, now I'm getting a warming sensation all around my pre-digestive track. Big dark chocolate bonzo, hah, bedtime for bonzo. Gets thicker and richer as the session continues. Makes me think of the brain fading tiny things in a kinder joy egg surprise, with brandy!, YEA Label is funny too, first you think its the bottom half of a naked woman then you see its a passed out fox, heheheh. Missing fur? Not sure. In the end it provides the numbing effects suspected from the start. Difficult to sense vanilla but maybe that's what mellows it out? I found it quite civilized considering its high alky content. Not bad for an imperial stout, that is.
