Avondale Brewing is a locally owned and operated brewery in the heart of the Deep South with an unmistakable affection for hand-crafted brews.

Combine the charm of a historic town, the passions of several good friends, a rooted respect for the craft of brewing and you have unearthed the beginning of what Avondale Brewing Company is all about. A byproduct of the collaboration between Coby Lake Craig Shaw and Hunter Lake , ABC is a small brewery housed in a fully renovated, historic building in the Avondale area of Birmingham, Alabama.

12oz can pours a clear gold with white head. Nose has lemon, soap, grass, mild grist. Flavor is honey, grass, lemon, some paper. Clean finish. Meh.

Can at the nuplastikk returns tasting in VA. Slightly hazy yellow with off-white head. Aromas of malt, wheat, corn. Tastes of floral notes, citrus, hay, malt. Light body with a dry finish.

From a 12 oz can shared at the 2016 Nuplastik is back tasting. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Light lemon wheat nose. Flavors of toast and citrus.

12oz bottle pours a hazy orange with some clumpy, white head. Nose has grass, orange, lemon, perfume, mild brown paper bag. Flavor is bitter with soap and dried pine, malt, orange. Clean finish.

Bottle at the main DC December gathering. Poured a hazy golden orange color with a white head. Aroma was light sweet spice notes. Citrus and some floral hops. Tropical juicy fruits come through a bit, finished with a light herbal spice note.
