Sample at Bridge Tap House & Wine Bar. The beer is a dark brown color with a medium foamy light beige head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoked malt, caramel and coffee. Light to medium body with a roasty character and flavors of charred malt, coffee and dark chocolate. The finish is subtly smoked with a burnt malt aftertaste. Above average Smoked overall.

Sample at Bridge Tap House & Wine Bar. Brownish-black pour with a medium creamy beige head that diminishes quickly to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of milk chocolate, sweet malt and a bit of brown sugar. The finish is sweet with a lingering cocoa aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet potatoes and vanilla with a hint of pecans and light spice. Flavor has sweet potatoes with a underlying spice and vanilla as well as a hint of pecans.

22oz bottle shared by beastie @RBWG-JAX-thin white-hazy yellow. A-ginger, lemon. T-sweet lt malt, quickly overtaken by ginger, lemon/basil, spice hops. Interesting.

4 oz draft pour at Bier Station in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed brown with a smallish light khaki head. The aroma is soft char along with a sweet cocoa odor. The taste is the sweet cocoa up front, along with maple syrup and then turning toward a soft char roast. Nice balance, clean flavors. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and a dry mineral chalk finish. Gentle smoked beer, nicely made - though a bit sweet for my personal taste.

Bottle @ Armin’s place, courtesy of jcnielsen. Thanks! Pours a hazy yellow orange appearance with a huge bubbly white head. Spritzy, lemon lime soda, vanilla, highly carbonated aroma. Juicy lemon, lightly lactic, lemon, spritzy flavor. Pretty decent.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a very musty wheat note a touch of lemon and other earthy fruits. Flavor has light wheat and semi tart lemon up front but finish is full of wet grains and musty wheat.

Bottle. Pours a near clear gold with an orange hue and a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has notes of citrus peel, grapefruit and a bit of resin as well as a rye backing. Flavor has a good amount of grapefruit with a touch of resin and just a hint of backing rye.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a good amount of flora, earthy wheat and just a hint of citrus. Flavor starts with sweet wheat and sweet flora and is matched by stone fruit and some sweet citrus.
