Tap @ De La Vega’s Las Cruces. Pours a clear yellow appearance with a white head. Lightly roasted, dull green chili, straw, pepper, veggie aroma. Kind of tasty roasted chili pepper, chewy grainy flavor. Not as bad as I was expecting.

Tap @ De La Vega’s Las Cruces. Pours a clear, light yellow appearance with a white head. Super bland, watery, lightly herbal, a touch corny aroma. Slightly blandly bitter, watery, corn, grassy flavor. Lifeless and worthless.

Shared tonight with Mark, thanks for the opportunity. Pours a deep amber color with a smallish off white head that dissipates rather quickly. The aroma is obviously nutty, but to say it was pecan would be a stretch. Sweet caramel and toffee as well as just a hint of earthy hops round out the nose. The flavor is sweet and sugary with a caramel and nutty taste. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. This is an interesting brew that I’m glad that I got to try, although its not something that I think I could drink very much of or very often.

On tap at De La Vega’s. Pours a clear copper color with a thin and fleeting head. The aroma is pine and resin hops and an undercurrent of caramel and vanilla. The flavor is very bitter, but reasonably balanced. The palate is light to medium and a little sticky. Overall, a basic IPA.

On tap at De La Vega’s. Pours a clear brown color with a thin beige head. The aroma is very reminiscent of pecan pie, with notes of slightly bitter nuts, vanilla, and molasses. The flavor is mild and well balanced initially with a strong sweet finish. It is medium weight and very carbonated. Overall, a fun beer, but a little too upfront with the pecan flavoring.
