Description
In 1857 werd in Maastricht Brouwerij De Ridder opgericht en dat was tot 1982 een familiebedrijf. In 1982 werd de brouwerij gekocht door Heineken. Brouwerij De Ridder brouwde op dat moment drie verschillende bieren: Ridder Pils, Ridder Oud Bruin en Ridder Maltezer.

Heineken besloot eind jaren 80 van de 20e eeuw om twee nieuwe bieren van De Ridder te introduceren: Ridder Bock (1987) en Wieckse Witte (1988). Door de toenemende vraag naar m.n. Wieckse Witte besloot Heineken eind 2002 het bier voortaan geheel in de eigen brouwerijen te laten brouwen. Hierdoor kwam De Ridder in december van dat jaar leeg te staan.

In september 2021 is er door Heineken gestopt met het Wieckse merk.

Hazy gold pour with a foamy head. Aroma and flavor is grain, lemon, and light spice. A bit sweet, but not much going on here.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, würzig, Koriander, Citrus. Geschmack leich hefig würzig, Citrus, Koriander, leicht fruchtig.

Bottle Weak smell , of malts Tadte is like way to old malts , very bad taste , mot that spicy or citrusdy . Just bad malts ..

Appearance: Cloudy pale golden color with a big white head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Wheat, sitrus, yeast, coriander and fruity.
Palate: Medium body. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Wheat, yeast, coriander, citric and fruity.
Overall impression: Fresh, tasty and nice. Probably better on tap.
Personal stats: Bottle from Boni in Odijk, Holland. Also on tap here and there in Holland.

How: Bottle.
Where: Party at the Passenger Terminal, Amsterdam.
Appearance: Hazy yellow colour with a white head.
Aroma: Lemon, yeast, some spices.
Body: Thin water body, medium carbonation.
Flavour: Lemony, some hints of spices.
Comment: A rather nice full aroma, but unfortunately a thin body and boring bland flavour.

Bottle. Mefium head with medium duration. Color is red/pink. Aroma and taste are rich radpberries, malt, sugar and fruits. Nice and sweet.
