About
Founded in 1650 by Heinrich de Lapière, the Autenried Schlossbrauerei (castle brewery) was owned by the nobility until 1912. The family tradition begins in 1912 when Alois Rudolph bought the brewery. In 1964 Alois Rudolph handed over the business to his nephew Leonhard Feuchtmayr. Rudolf Feuchtmayr has been running the Autenried Schlossbrauerei since 1993. With their son Peter Feuchtmayr, the family brewing tradition continues into the youngest generation to this day.

Copper with a small white head. Malty aroma with bread and a touch of caramel. Sweet malty flavour, bready, caramel, vinous. A little on the sweet side, but pretty good.

50cl bottle. Pours clear golden colour with a huge most good lasting white head. Aroma of mild grains, grassy, watery. Taste of mild pale palt, grains, grassy hops, intense watery body.

Bottle @ Benzai’s crazy carnaval, small sample. BB 10.06.16. Clear copper color, short frothy head. Aroma of rye bread, toffee. Sweet toffee, caramel. Nothing special, but after all this Dutch crap, its great.

Bottle @ Don’t want anything to do with carnaval tasting. Clear orange copper color, average sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste wheat, sweetish, lightly yeasty, a touch of banana. Ok body and carbonation. Hmm drinkable.

Bottle @ benzai’s carnaval. Clear dark amber colour with a small to medium sized beige head. Smells brown banana, sweet. Tastes sweet, banana, a bit off. Medium body, medium carbo.

Bottle @ Don’t want anything to do with carnaval tasting. Nice clear dark amber color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, toffee, caramel, chestnutt, sweet, brown candy sugar. Average to decent body and carbonation.
