About
Founded in 1650 by Heinrich de Lapière, the Autenried Schlossbrauerei (castle brewery) was owned by the nobility until 1912. The family tradition begins in 1912 when Alois Rudolph bought the brewery. In 1964 Alois Rudolph handed over the business to his nephew Leonhard Feuchtmayr. Rudolf Feuchtmayr has been running the Autenried Schlossbrauerei since 1993. With their son Peter Feuchtmayr, the family brewing tradition continues into the youngest generation to this day.

Moderately sweet malty aroma with bready notes and a herbal, also slightly woody hoppy touch. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Slightly bready (cara-)malty taste with herbal accents; sweet-bitter malt-accented finish with a rounded, slightly woody hoppy touch. Nice. 16.III.11

Bottled. Deep ambery brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, some mild raisins, mildly wooden notes as well as some slight alcohol. Flavour is caramel and bready malts along with raisins, mild stinging alcohol as well as some slight earthy notes. Quite pleasantly balanced Doppelbock.

Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized yellowish beige head. Aroma is strong maltyness, mild skunky notes as well as some slight dark dry fruits and mild toasted and ashy notes. Flavour is being rather much the same along with some slight wooden and toffeeish notes as well. Quie pleasant.

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, small white creamy head that leaves some lace. Aroma is bready malts, mild saltwatery notes, quite grassy hoppe as well as some slight herbal notes. Flavour is sweet malts along with grassy and floral bitterness along with some herbal notes. Quite pleasantly balanced.

Medium-bodied, malty with a good bitterness in the background, ldry palate. Grainy malty accents with some woody-grassy hops. Definitely has its very own character - that’s what I like.
