Description
Offering unique hop-forward ales, crisp lagers, barrel-aged rarities and one of the Northwest’s most extensive wild & sour programs, Block 15 produces a range of artfully crafted beers, brewed with a nod toward fresh ingredients and fresh thinking.

We began serving up fine beer and food at our downtown Corvallis brewpub in 2008, and have since opened up a European-style pub—Caves Bier & Kitchen—as well as the Block 15 Brewery & Tap Room in south Corvallis. We are proud to have remained brewer-owned from day one.

Our 20bbl production brewery, built in 2015 and located in the shadow of the coastal range in south Corvallis, is the workhorse of our brewing operations. In addition to an increased-capacity brewhouse, our production brewery houses custom-designed Uni-tanks, a custom-fabricated mixing tank, a Meheen bottling line, and a Wild Goose canning line.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out deep coffee, gentle bourbon, a touch of cocoa nibs, and a touch of maple. Flavour is extremely rich, with tons of rich coffee and bourbon upfront, followed by cocoa nibs, and a hint of maple. Rich coffee, intense roast, and burnt dark sugars. Rich and decadent. Excellent.

Gold, bright, thin head. Quite fruity, mellow pale malt. Not a ton of bitterness. So it's a balance thing.

Tart, woody, vinous, a bit of fruity but sweet sugars, like if you diluted and fermented pomegranate molasses. There's good complexity here but it's not necessarily hitting for me.

Deep gold but sort of dull. No haze, though. No head. Ok this is lactic, acetic and buttery. All the bugs and it comes across too sour and ropey. Barrels are more neutral, this is odd and I'm not sold on it.
