Description
Offering unique hop-forward ales, crisp lagers, barrel-aged rarities and one of the Northwest’s most extensive wild & sour programs, Block 15 produces a range of artfully crafted beers, brewed with a nod toward fresh ingredients and fresh thinking.

We began serving up fine beer and food at our downtown Corvallis brewpub in 2008, and have since opened up a European-style pub—Caves Bier & Kitchen—as well as the Block 15 Brewery & Tap Room in south Corvallis. We are proud to have remained brewer-owned from day one.

Our 20bbl production brewery, built in 2015 and located in the shadow of the coastal range in south Corvallis, is the workhorse of our brewing operations. In addition to an increased-capacity brewhouse, our production brewery houses custom-designed Uni-tanks, a custom-fabricated mixing tank, a Meheen bottling line, and a Wild Goose canning line.

Fruitier than one would expect for a pilsner. Clear gold body with thick white head. Hop and bread aroma, hop is fruit. Malt forward taste with a hoppy edge.

500ml (thx, Brian!) @ Sales Force. Appearance: almost black with a tan head. Aroma: very earthy and dusty, some coffee, a bit fruity. Taste: along the same lines, quite roasty, lots of coffee. Overall: meh, Nebula kinda disappointing.

Dark brown, thin head. Rich coffee aroma, some maple as well. Fairly bitter. The maple is mellow, the coffee fairly pronounced. Decently bitter. Off-dry finish that starts to get thin..so it's not bad, but the elements aren't coming together.

On tap at Loyal Legion. Pours clear gold with white head. Aroma has pretty subtle notes of dank and piney hops. Flavour is clean and dank, pine resin, chewy malts. Incredible WC hop expression, clean and crisp while still being dank and resinous.

On tap at brewery. Pours deep cloudy red with a beige head. Aroma has subdued bourbon and dark cherries, caramel malt. Flavour is sour, lots of acidic cherry, bourbon. Lots of good flavours, though quite aggressive and not super well-integrated.
