Sample at the taproom. Dark brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of smoked malt, chocolate and yeast. Light-bodied with flavors of charred malt, fruity yeast and mild earthy hops. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at Daily Growler Powell. Clear pale golden color with a medium thin white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Strings of lace. Aroma of resiny hops, fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of piney hops, citrus and roast malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Purple can. Not much fruit on the nose. Eye is cloudy off pale. Initial impression is its not tart or like saison, its more like beer with a little fruit flavoring. A little hoppy and slightly astringent. Not really what I was expecting, considering the label. Not sweet, more of something like unsweetened fruit flavors. You know, like koolaid without enough sugar. In the middle, taste starts to grow on me, it seems to develop a little more bite on the tart side and the fruit starts to surface as well. Strawberry coming thru and its not artificial. During the end, that astringent thing starts to take over and hangs with you to the finish.

Sample at Prohibition. Clear golden color with a medium thick frothy white head that burns away steadily to a film. Sparse strings of lace. Ginger and malt aroma. Light-bodied with flavors of ginger, malt, cinnamon and wheat. The finish is mildly spiced gingerbread cookie. Decent overall.

Pink can of course. Beer is not pink however. Smell is beery perfumy hops, you'd think there was some pineapple peach and other nose but not, especially since its listed on the label. And hey! What up with the RB description? Right on the can it says peach & pineapple, get with it my friend. I s this a IPA bastardized fruit beer or what? And hey! What up with this new voss thing? FORGETTAHBOUTTIT. Straight up ass stupify IPA, just make one style, will yah!

Big yellow can from vintage, 2$. Smell is s little wheat ale-ish. Some cloud in the eye. Taste is quite heffy in character with just a tad of that wheat ale thing going on in the background. In the middle a little more of the banana bubble gum thing comes thru. Toward the end it gets a little processed, I should have cooled it longer. Bottom of can yields more sediment. Overall not bad, pretty good imitation of the real thing.

Red can, $2 from vintage in boardman. Looks like any other pale lager made in mericka. First taste is mild amercan lager, decent taste, easy going. Yes, good old fashioned well behaved american lager, refreshing for a change. In the middle it goes down easy. Makes me think of sitting on a back porch on a warm sunny day watching the sunset. Balanced, no sign of the cheap pale lager here, just good stuff. I think old woofy got it going on, just like stacy's mom.

When I bought this I thought it was a spiced holiday beer. Actually, its just a highly hopped APA. Clear and slightly darker than pale. Smells like off putting hops. Taste is big bitter rude ass hops as well. Difficult, a mouth coating bitterness that really gives you a kick in the ass. Nasty nellie. Don't let anybody fool you, this is IPA all the way. Whew, industrial strength bitterness.

Bottle from vintage estates. Hazy pale, looks like NE IPA. Smell like diesel laced BO. Taste is big bitter chewing on green grapefruit rinds nasty, just like an IPA. Forget about APA, this stuff is IPA. Lets mix fresh pine needles with spruce scented hand-soap and then chew on a fresh rubber inner tube while I drink it, yeah. Big happy bullshit this stuf is, straight up ass and terribly on IPA style, whew. Not for the faint of heart, heheeh.

Aroma of fruit, oak, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of malt, fruity yeast, oak and mild hops. The finish is oaky with a fruit and yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.
