Andreas Gänstaller used to hire the name, building and installation of Beck-Bräu in Trabelsdorf. Since December 2010 he has brewed in Schnaid under his own name. Beers and recipes taken to the new brewery are moved here. Since then his beer sometimes appears under the Drei Kronen name from 2010-2013 when Gänstaller Bräu had the Zoiglstube in Strassgeich as a tap.

Tap (PINT Bockbierfestival 09): Pale amber, big - slowly collapsing - lacy white foam: burnt wood and sweet caramel in the nose; solid sweet-bitter flavour, full bodied; increasing dryness and hoppy bitterness in the lingering and warming finish. Very well balanced, tasty Bock...............

On tap at GBBF 2009. One of the joys of this festival is getting to try different German beers on tap. Orange haze colour. Lasting beige head. Pretty good. Yes a little heat from alcohol. But it doesn’t go over the top. Never sticky. Good bock. Lovely and drinkable.

On tap at GBBF 2009. Everyone had gone on about how good this was. Smokey aroma. Oddly a touch of TCP, but not in a bad way. Tasty smokey TCP in flavour too. Not too sweet for a bock, some biscuit in the malt even. Finish has as smokey sting. Yep, this is pretty good.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clearamber, no head. Smokey tarry bacon aroma. Mid-sweet with beautifully soft mouthfeel. Tarry salmiak - like Schlenkerla condensed. So seemless and soft - just beautiful!

Sampled, gravicask, from the German Bar, GBBF 09. Almost clear, golden body, small off-white head. Malty-fruity smell with underlying alcohol heating. Earthy malts in flavour mixed with hints of tart fruits. More alcohol heating to the finish. A bit heavy to drink, but it has got, to be fair, some moments of joy (Earls Court, 07.08.2009).
