Description

Going from home to commercial brewing in 2017, Totenhopfen is set to shake up the burgeoning brewing scene in Luxembourg. Shortly after the launch, Totenhopfen was already present in several European countries including Luxembourg, Austria, Portugal, Germany and Hungary. Totenhopfen was awarded by RateBeer in 2018 the 2nd Best New Brewer in the World, Best Luxembourgish Brewer as well as Best New Luxembourgish Brewer. In 2019 Ratebeer awarded Totenhopfen as Best Luxembourgish Brewer.

Shared with Koelschtrinker & Beerhunter111. Smooth fresh floral beginning. Nice round with a nice carbonation. Floral fresh hops, nice bittered, very round and deep, floral piney with earthy hints. Nice.

Shared with Koelschtrinker & Beerhunter111. Smooth fresh floral beginning. Easy to drink with a nice and round floralness. Malty body in the back, floral piney hops on top. Nice.

Starke Karbonisierung. Etwas laffer pappig hopfiger Antrunk mit geringer Würzigkeit. Die Intensität steigt zum Mittelteil etwas an, süffig, intensiv bitter, monoton, was aber nicht sondelrich schlimm erscheint. Mittellanger, nussig hopfiger Nachhall. 11/9/8/9/9/9

33cl bottle. A hazy orange golden beer with a huge good lasting off-white head. Aroma of orange fruits, wheat, yeast. Taste of mild orange fruits, citrus hops, wheat, nice bitterness.

33cl bottle. A hazy deep golden beer with a mid-sized most good lasting white head. Aroma of mild fruity hops, citrus, herbs. Taste of herbal spices, wheat, citrus, medium bitterness.

Spritziger, erdig-bitterer Beginn. Moderat grasig hopfig, kaum fruchtig, etwas pappig (in diesem Falle nicht negativ, steigende intensive Bitterkeit. Nussig, langer Nachhall. Nett! 6/9/9/10/9/9

Trockener, leicht süß-hopfiger Beginn. Moderat herb, spritzig, geringe Würzigkeit. Deutlich trockener werdend, geringe Karbonisierung. Gefällt. 10/9/10/9//9

Sampled @CRAFT Frankfurt 2018. A hazy orange golden beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of bitter resinous hops, rye. Taste dark riped fruits, yeast, plums.

0,1l from bottle at Craft Bier Fest. amber hazy color, small off white head. smells earthy, citric, light fruits, bit musty. ok smell. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes fruity, light citric, doughy, bit musty, some mango, grassy. finishes lightly biter with notes of musty notes, exotic fruits and some doughy notes. rather decent one, not the greatest balance but drinkable. 6, 4, 7, 3, 13
