From cask at JDW Counting House. Pours clear and deep golden orange with a small white head. Light butterish and fruity aroma. Dense malty too. Sweet fruity plum with a distinct caramelish note mixing in. Classic polish for the sweet beers. Slight vanilla flavoured too along the light caramel malt notes.

50 cL can. Pours clear and golden yellow with a fully diminished white head. Light acidic and cornish aroma. Medium dry malty and slight cornish flavoured. Holds a mild bitterness into a finish swept in a dry cornish/malty base flavour.

Cask-conditioned at a JDW in Swindon 30/10/08. Deep amber with a dash of red. Very sweet and fruity with a hint of tannin. Would echo comments below that the alcohol was completely hidden and the drink tasted more like a fruit cordial. Weird but not unpleasant.

[gravity cask at Back of Beyond, Reading] slightly purplish deep amber; negligible white head; slight carbonation. Smells like Victoria plums. Tastes like Victoria plums. Is there any beer in here at all? Made me think of climbing my Mum & Dad’s plum tree and being attacked by wasps! More like plum cordial than beer. Could do with a little more carbonation to cut through the sweetness a little - and maybe being served slightly chilled. Despite this I actually quite enjoyed it, although with a beer as sweet as this half a pint was plenty. c6

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Slightly hazy brown with a purple tint, and a creamy off-white head; distinct plum aroma; the taste is clean and refreshing with lots of sweet plum flavour; there is a short-lived bitterness, but the finish is predominantly plummy. Great if you like plums!

Cask at JDW ... FIrst off i’d like to know a bit more about this beer, and how it was made ... There is very little beer character though there is a little yeastyness in its base ... However i loved it... Nice red copper with a nice tight head ... Light fruity plum nose ... WOW sweet fruity ... with no doubt about the plums ... little tart in finnish ... very juice like ... and did i mention the plums ... very easy drinking ... could drink it all day ... Sitting here in JWD Edinburgh Drinking it for the 2nd time Deep copper... plums plums plums...Breasy yeast and loads of plum ... Bah Humbug to those scoring it lowly... Yeah its Juice like ... My 4 year old would guzzle this... but its still wonderfull ... It captures plums ... and just a tiny beery back ground. Ive no doubt id drink a half of this ever time i saw it. 4.0->4.4 on those grounds. No way does this deserve 23rd Percentile TK3 ...JDW autum festival ... just as nice mmmm Tk4 JDW Autumn 09 I like this, i dont care that you dont ... yum yum yum. 4.2

Cask handpull at Penderel’s Oak, ’Sporks. Fruity plum aroma, sweeter than I had anticipated in mouth, a bit like my mother’s plum crumble that I had when I was a child on a Sunday. But then it gets worse, bit chalky in flaovur, too sweet. In fact it’s terrible. Tastes of artificial fruit. I didn’t finish the half pint. 1.5/5 Re-rate, County Hotel, Ashford. Vimto flavour, more raspberry, strawberry than plum. Chalk and chlorine. It’s still really bad.

[i] [b] Cask at The Exchange JDW, Banbury, Oxon, 31-03-08 [/i][/b] The poor light in this place makes determining the colour of this beer something of a lottery but I would guess at mid brown, no head, very clear sticky prunes on the nose but its the surprisingly good flavour that grabbed me, this is plum city. I sat in this pub rating this on my phone (forgot me notebook} whilst sat waiting for my fish pie and I was quite shocked at how high I rated this beer but I can’t deny it was bloody moreish, the future is plums, this along with the other international beers has been bloody marvellous.

Canned(500ml). -From some 24/7 shop in Islington, London. Clear golden coloured, small white head, malty corn nose. Fizzy. Sweet malty and cardboard aroma with notes of caramel and corn. Rather sweet finish.
