Iso-Kallan Panimo was founded in 2013 in the heart of the Finnish Lake region, in Kuopio.

Our Brewery produces beers, long drinks and lemonades. We get Inspiration for our products from the huzzle and buzzle of the world as well as the laid-back attitude of the Savo region.

If you find yourself in Kuopio, come and visit our store & taproom. During the summer we also have a lovely terrace where you can enjoy a fresh pint in the sun.

Smell of malt, yeast, some pepper. Hazy amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of yeast, honey, some spices. Sweet. Medium carbon.

33cl bottle. Poured murky, light ambery/brown in color. Steady white head. Mild sourbready, malty and sharp mouthfeel. Almost unpleasant to drink really.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 04/2023, from Alko, 20220618) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was small, white and fizzy. Aroma had grass, herbalness, marzipan and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, malts, marzipan, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, spicy and bitter. Would require a bit fine tuning: the beer tasted unfinished.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Dark brown, small head. Aroma of chicory and toast. Sweet with light to medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and coffeem mild hay. Low to medium bitterness. Harmonious, if sweet.

33cl bottle from Alko. Poured golden in color. Belgian yeasty aroma, spiciness, sweetness, some warmth but not boozy at all really. Pretty good tripel. Phenolic notes.

A golden beer, a head is small and blond. Aroma has earthyness, some sourness and fruitness, grain and some yeast. Taste has fruitness, earthyness, hint of spicyness and sweetness of malts. Medium+ bodied, low carbonation, which should be much more lively. Should be fresher. Quite nice anyway.

Ich als alter Grätzer-Kenner (erstes Mal probiert) muss sagen, da wurde den guten Finnen Unrecht getan. Als würde man an einer Räucherwurst lecken, toll.
