Iso-Kallan Panimo was founded in 2013 in the heart of the Finnish Lake region, in Kuopio.
Our Brewery produces beers, long drinks and lemonades. We get Inspiration for our products from the huzzle and buzzle of the world as well as the laid-back attitude of the Savo region.
If you find yourself in Kuopio, come and visit our store & taproom. During the summer we also have a lovely terrace where you can enjoy a fresh pint in the sun.

Tap@ olutexpo 14. Near black, thin brown head. Roasted, vinous, light berry notes. Flavor has roastedness, soury notes, sweetness, hops. Bitter finish. Quite nice.

Tap @olutexpo 2014. Hazy amber, thick white head. Sweet fruity, citrusy, peaches, some slight off notes. Flavor has gooseberries, bitterness, grape. Hoppy, dry bitter, ok body.

Tap at Olutexpo 2014, Helsinki. Colour is almost black with very small head. Aromas and flavors: Chocolate, coffee, grain and roasted malts. Slightly watery.

Draught @ Ølhus Stockholm
Aroma has grapefruit, yeasty tones and some fruity tones. Feels like some of those overhopped saisons. Flavour has funky yeasty tones, grapefruit, some grassy and herbal tones. Rye is hardly observable. Slightly messy but nice still.

Bottled@Mallaskosken olut-tapahtuma IV. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, nectary with some nice sweet balancing malts. Flavour is fruity, floral, toffeeish and has a quite strong straw/resiny take to it. Also some mild wooden and malty notes in the flavour. Clearly a step up from this brewery’s earlier beers.

Bottled@Pub Winston Festival. Goldeny orange colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruity, some wheat mild floral and spicy notes. Flavour is floral, fruity, wooden and some citrusy notes. More like a modern British golden ale than a bitter, but sometimes the borderline is rather close...

Pours yellowish orange with a bubbly head. Aroma of sweet fruits, malts and earthy grassy notes. Taste is fruity, sweet and grassy with some maltiness and earthy notes. A cloudy, orange beer with a weak and blond head. The nose has citrusfruits, spices, hint of sourness, slightly yeasty. Taste is quite sour, some lemon, strong spices, herbal end. Medium bodied, strong carbonation. Too much of yeast that is bothering and reducing the freshness, otherwise good beer.
