Canned (from K CM Kivihaka, Vaasa). Very deep ruby red colour, small off-white head. Aroma is mild toast, some quite burnt maltyness along with some toffee and mild toasted rye. Flavour is rye, quite toasted notes along with burnt wet wood and some slight liquorice and sweet maltyness. Balanced and actually quite pleasant. Will most likely suit the Xmas dinner table very well.

Just "Kuohu Vahva", at the Uusi Apteeki, this is the closest one. Hazy golden body. Cabbagey nose, Yeasty, slightly acidic taste, vaguely malty. Might be slightly infected? All in all, in bad shape, might rerate it when I get back to Finland if I want to bother with that.

Draught @ the brewpub
Aroma has some grassy hops, hints of butter and metal. Flavour has also some grass with some metal and hints of grain. Aftertaste is a bit harsh and bitter. Drinkable.

500ml can from local food store in Hetta. Appealing dark amber body, but no head! Caramel aroma, pear and wort. Boiled cabbage and band aid, the latter making it a bit tart tasting. Besides that, flat and no success, really! The appearance and aroma gave expectations, that weren’t met... Shared at the XII Beer Session 27. Jan 2011
