Very cloudy, light orange color, medium white head. Aroma of soft hop, some sweetness, some yeast. Soft sweet and nice bitter taste. Good balance. Although the looks are too ’yeasty’, it is still a good brew with a nice balance.

Grunn Hoagelwit. Hazy golden color, short white head. Aroma is yeasty, bit wheat, some banana. Bit watery taste, yeasty, bitter. Not nice refreshing as other whites, but more bitter. Not very good.

Cloudy brown color, medium off-white head. Aroma of black malt, some yeast. Taste is like a dunkel, quite nicely balance between the roasted malts and bitter notes. Slightly sticky palate. Decent beer.

An amber beer with a disappearing head. Both the aroma and the flavor is sweet malty. A boring beer.

[Hoagelwit] A yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet spicy with coriander standing out. The flavor is wheaty combined with notes of coriander. The flavor is boring and the body is thin.

A hazy orange beer with a fine white head. The aroma is very hoppy and spicy with notes of cowberries. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of cowberries and a good hoppy bitter end. The body is thin, but it is still a nice beer.

A hazy orange beer with a fine white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with notes of grass and hints of oil. And so is the flavor. A very drinable ale.

Dull orange; thick, slightly irregular broken-white head, lacey. Leafy nose with candi-sugar, faint peppery, maybe touch of coriander? Herbal (artichoke), spicey flavours and a typical dry-candisugar taste. Spicey finish. Very dry, apt to the style. Alcoholburn slowly emerging. Despite the poppycock on the label (the beer isn't even brewed in Groningen yet), claiming rights on a local, historical abbeyrecipe, this beer is a (quite reasonable) textbook copy of Westmalle tripel, slightly more spicey, much less depth. Oh yes, and despite the name, the beer IS a tripel, not a dubbel - it even says so on the new label.

(All Grunn beers still brewed at Texelse)Foxy-amber with pistacchio shine, fully hazy at the end; white head, bit fluffy, falling. Grassy, herbal-fresh, weedy nose - nice, fine aroma. Fresh herb bitter, German type hops, malty underneath. Very much like a Belgian speciale with a German touch. Herbal hops retronasal as well, wholewheat cookies. Light without being empty, just right. Quite nice, refreshing beer. Crossbreed of amber ale, Alt and German Pilsener.
