A dark brown beer, almost without head. Aroma has nice richness, maltyness of caramel and dried fruits, some pine and banana. Nicely elegant. Taste has sweet fruitness and richness of malts, nice drying bitterness, thus not too sweet, some spicyness of pepper and pine, bitterness in the end. Full bodied, almost without carbonation, slightly stickyness. Tasteful beer, close to excellent.

33cl bottle. Poured golden color with a thin white head. Mild floral, some hay and sweetness. Mild honey, sweetness, hops, floral notes.

Bottle 0.33l at Oljenkorsi, Helsinki. Color is slightly cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, citrus, some Belgian yeast and malts. Pretty basic.

33cl bottle. Batch # 28. Thanks mjs. Poured amber dark red color with a thin white head. Caramel, nutty notes, malts, bread and booze. Sweet malty flavor, booze, almonds. Heavy stuff.

Sample from the bottle at Oljenkorsi, Helsinki. Color is deep brownish dark orange with very mall head. Aromas and flavors: Dryness, dry fruits, raisins, hops and malts. Some burning alcohol. Not too sweet. OK.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch 28, at Oljenkorsi, 20170923) The beer poured mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was small ring around the edges. Aroma had malts, caramel, raisins and molasses. Palate was full bodied and dryish with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, apricots, sweetness, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A good barley wine showing aging potential.

Tap at Oljenkorsi, Helsinki. Color is dark brown with large brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Grain, coffee, dryness, some burnt malts, hops and roasted malts. Pretty nice slow sipper. Gotta try again later.

Draught @ Oljenkorsi. Poured pitch black with a thin brown head. Ashy, roasty, woody and slightly herbal aroma. Flavor has salty licorice, dark chocolate, coffee, wood. Really dry finish.

(Keg at Oljenkorsi, 20170923) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized, dense and light brown. Aroma had pine, burnt malts and liquorice. Palate was full bodied and lightly oily with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, pine, liquorice, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, burnt and bitter. A tasty hoppy dark brew.

(Keg at Oljenkorsi, 20170923) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized, dense and lightly brown. Aroma had liquorice, burnt malts and dark chocolate. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, liquorice, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A tasty burnt brew with sweetness.
