Copperbrown beer with medium beige head. Malts, grass, some rosted malts and metal is found in the aroma. Flavour is quite mild and normally malty with some roasted malts and hint of bitterness. Light to drink and quite lot of carbonation. Tumma Kukko doesn’t convince me: there are nothing more than normal lager only colour.

(Draught at Angleterre, Helsinki, on 2008-09-20) Deep dark brown. Dense long lasting white head. Roastedness and malts in nose. Quite full bodied palate with lot of carbonation. Roastedness, bitterness, hint of chocolate, sweetness, some burnt flavours and bit of dried plum. Ok but nothing special

Kukko Lager is golden beer with light white head. Aroma is metallic, malty and bitter. Flavour is slightly fusty and bitter but not anymore metallic. Quite easy to drink with balanced carbonation. Kukko Lager can’t convince me, there are some aroma and taste but freshness is not there.

A light yellow beer with a medium and white head. Aroma is quite refreshning, spring grain field, grass and some honey. Taste is pure and malty, medium hoppiness, grass and also some aromatic notes. Easy to drink and carbonation is balanced. Kukko Pils is classic, quite fresh, typical.

From tap. Pours dark brown to black with a creamy, lasting and chocolate brown head. Mild roasted malty aroma. Mild metallic and malty base flavour slight sweetness. Light fruity hoppy and bitter into a rather dry finish.

Bottle, 6.5%. Very dark brown colour. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is slightly sweet, quite roasted, but not bitter. Creamy flavour and mouthfeel. Low carbonation, quite pleasant. Very nice, subtle but flavourful.

Can, 4.7%. Mildly bready aroma. Clear yellow colour. White head. The flavour is not too bad, quite bitter, slightly rough. With some malt and dust to it.

(50 cl can brought home from Finland by a friend)On September 5, 2008BB 22 03 2009Clear pale golden color, fluffy white head. Slight fruity and hoppy scent, also sweet. Sweet and apple taste. Thin mouthfeel, low bitterness.
