RBESG08 grand tasting One of the last beers on the tasting... the game was in the 80’s I reckon. Dark red body. Malty nose. Dull sweet malty taste. Simple, boring.

RBESG08 grand tasting By now almost everyone had left to watch the game... Gold body, light malty, grainy nose. Malty taste, some hop bitterness. Ok beer but too light for its own good.

500ml bottle, thanks to Finn. Frothy, fawn coloured head, with medium retention and fragile laceworks, resting on a black-brown body. Chocolate malts to the nose added a peaty touch. Roasted sweet dark malts in flavour mixed with a dash of anise leading to an ending of bitter coffee notes. The first glass is highly drinkable. However, after a while in the glass this Finish Porter lost most of its distinctive smell and taste(at home, 04.07.2008).

Medium light beige head does not last. Deep brown body with light carbonation. Roasty caramelly aroma with peppery notes and dried fruit. Dry-sweet roasty caramel taste with notes of wild berries and pepper. Dry roasty cardboard aftertaste. Quite good, if a bit watery. (0.5l can, St. Urhoโs pub, Helsinki.)

Bottled at Old Bank, Turku. Clear golden, rich airy head. Ashy fruity nose. Light-medium bodied with spritzy mouthfeel. Short but lively wheat malt flavour followed by banana and minerals. Finishes with salty hop bitter finish. An interesting, drinkable beer

Pours clear deep amber with thin tan head. The aroma is mildly musty dark fruitiness, some mild molasses and a nice load of roastiness. The taste is a bit thinner and meeker than I expected. I get nice burnt notes mixing with roasty malts. The dark fruity esters are more mild than the nose led onto but with ample amounts of grape, dark berries and plums. All these notes come together in harmony creating a pleasant experience.

500ml Bottle - Black in colour with a lively tan head. Coffee and chocolate in the aroma with some appealing roasted notes. Slightly smoky and burnt taste with coffee and plain chocolate also featuring. Very smooth and easy to drink with pleasant bitterness in the finish. Rather delicious. Excellent! More like this pleae, Laitilian!
