Canned. Yellowish golden colour, mediumsized creamy white head, which disappears quickly. Aroma kind of sweet malts, hops and some vinegar?!?. Flavour is softly malty at first, then hops grow in finish along with some weak hints of yeast. Something between sticky and dry palate. Finish is caramellish, "biting" hoppy and a bit grassy too. Quite a good "project" from Laitilan. "Project" since by the time of rating, it only seems to be sold in the city of Rauma.

Can (BB 07/2006)
pale golden color, small white head. A bit strange yeast and malt aromas. Yeasty malty flavor too. You can taste Laitila’s yeast easily here. This is a bit like Saimaan Panimo’s lager, same kind of craft beer feeling here. (4/2/5/3/9 2.3)
Re-rate, can
Much more hoppier than I could taste in the first time (after long session and drinking hoppy pils before this). (4/2/7/3/11 2.7)

Canned. Clear golden, small head. Grassy hop aroma. Dry with crisp, rounded mouthfeel. Delightfully hoppy with good bitterness. A well made authentic German style pilsener.

2005 can thanks to Juha!! Pours a honey-gold yellow. Medium-sized bubbles rise quite lazily to the top to form a whispy white head, that is not long retained, but fades to a ring of foam. Clear. Good lacing. Smells of light honey, grain husks. No yeast, not really much hops. Flavor, though, I did enjoy. Laitilan seems to make pleasant and simple beers and that can hit the spot at the right time. Pils malt and herbs, with a touch of tin and dough (that’s an odd combination, yes). A full swig yields significantly more bitterness than a small sip, though it’s quickly overtaken by doughy honey malt, though there is a reprise of light grass clippings on the finish. Medium body, moderate wateriness, little to no yeast apparency, though some light crispness on the finish. Soft carbonation, maybe even too little of it. Lovely retronasal hops, grassy and bitter!

2004 can from Juha! Dark amber brown, clear body with a big white head, moderate retention that recedes to a ring. Smells of lager yeast, a bit spicy, good caramel malt detectable. Maybe a touch of old hops. Flavor begins with light nuttiness, bits of caramel and maybe a bit of tin on the finish. Also some light bitterness throughout, watered down coffee on the end, bits of sugar. Medium-light body, a bit watery overall, some plant root like flavors too. Retronasal noble hops is encouragaing. Low carbonation, easygoing beer. Quite pleasant if you don’t take it too seriously.

Canned. Clear yellow, big white head, which disappears quickly. Sweet barlic taste with hints of honey. Bittersweet taste with the bitterness coming first and the sweetness coming in the aftertaste. Barley and hops dominate with caramelly taste in the finish.
