33cl Bottle from Melgers. As Oma’s Pruim, with a small white sticker on the neck saying it’s smoked. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of sweet dark fruits, malts, soft and subtle smoke. Flavour is medium sweet, fruity, dark fruits, currants, light smoke, caramel, decent bitter finish. Light bodied. With more body this would be great, now it’s just nice.

@Nuchtere Noorden Tasting I, fles van 75 cl meegenomen uit de Mitra te Groningen, vrij prijzig echter. schenkt bruin/rood met licht bruine/kaki kraag, die echter vrij snel al weer slinkt. Aroma; ik weet niet precies hoe de Ethiopische en Braziliaanse koffie behoort te geuren, maar daar ruikt het precies naar ;).... .iig anders dan de andere koffie bieren die ik heb geproefd. De smaken zijn idem als het aroma, koffie maar niet al te volle koffie, iets van geroosterde mouten, en dat op een toch wel vrij lichte zeg maar zelfs wat waterige body, met het verdere gemis aan complexiteit maar dit alles tot een wat slap aftreksel... lichte body, lage co2, het lijkt in alles ook niet op een winterbier, en snap dan ook niet waarom er winterspecial op de fles staat. , nee niet bijzonder dit --- Beer merged from original tick of Kovvie Verkeerd on 18 May 2018 at 09:28 - Score: 5

Bottle @ home shared by Dutchdrebus. Murky brownish color, small beige to light brown head. Aroma is malts, dark malts and smoke. Tastes about the same: malts, dark malts, smoke, slightly brown sugar. Decent body and carbonation.

Bottle @ benzai. Adding +0.1 points for the name. Dark brown colour with a small beige head. Smells smoked, bacon, sweet, herbs. Tastes smoked, malts, sweet.. Not too smoked actually. Pretty nice actually. Best smoked beer I’ve had so far I think. It just works.
