750ml bottle(s). Hazy, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Herbal, funky and lactic aroma, notes of rosemary, thyme, juniper and other herbs, a touch of apricot and mirabelle, citrusy hints of lemon and orange peel, mandarine, lemon yoghurt, some brett, late caraway overtones. Taste is dry, tart, herbal, funky, lactic and citric, bretty, notes of rosemary and thyme, juniper, a touch of apricot and mirabelle, zesty notes of lemon, orange, mandarine, hints of lemon yoghurt. Fresher examples displayed a more intense herbal profile with yellow stone fruit addendum, cellared bottles showed developments in an overall tart and zesty citrusy direction slightly disguising the herbal profile and almost completely outshining the yellow stone fruit. A great beer at all stages.

Heeft echt helemaal niks met porter te maken. Eerder een sour. Whatever een sourdough barrel is, extreem veel veranderd aan smaak en kleur

Lightly sour, little bit of lactic acid going on there. Something sweet too, balances it nicely. Very flavorful and easy stuff. Well made.

0,33 l Steinie bottle from Getränkefeinkost, Münster. Unclear pale golden in the glass with a more than one finger frothy white head. Smells sourish fruity. Taste starts with a short tart part, followed by a more dry grainy section. Increasing mid bitterness. Above average carbonation. Enjoyable stuff.

Gushing to very dense & huge light-yellow head, fully stable over lively carbonated yellow-orange beer with small UFO's. Lactic acid, spices & herbs, wild yeasts, horseblanket & farmyard odours. Diary, pale malts, wild yeasts, but surprisingly little acidity. Again funky-farmyard dominated, horseblanket indicating Brett. No sweetnss, but the chewy breadlike flavour is pure malts. Very slight acidthinning, fizzy carbonation, long-lasting flavours. Warming up, there's a growing flavour as from shellfish - DMS? Aftertaste is just a tad wry. Not half bad, but the nose gave me a totally misleading perception. Pity for the gushing.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass light golden, small head. Starts fine sourish-woody, some interesting soft-malty notes in between, with a light sweetness. Finish again sour, woody, all in all well balanced. Wow!

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A hazy dark golden beer with a minimal white ring. Aroma of tart fruits, brett, apricot, apples. Taste of phenols, apricot, strong malt, hints of apples.
