Description
450 North Brewing Company is a brewery, tap room and restaurant located on the Simmons’ family farm in beautiful Columbus, IN. Since opening in September 2012, the taproom has become a destination for delicious beer, pizza, and fresh growler fills. Featuring a picturesque rural setting and one-of-a-kind events like the annual Corn Maze Beer Fest, we are the perfect spot for a laid-back day trip. If beer isn’t your thing, our own Simmons Winery and Gnarly Grove hard cider is produced and available on-site. Our beer is distributed in Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. Look for us in liquor shops where quality craft beer is sold.

Draft: Nearly black, short, whipped oatmeal head. Coffee and smoke, bourbon aroma. Nice, smooth bourbon/oak flavor. Really adds to this beer. Very good.

Draft: Cloudy tea-brown, soapy off-tan ring. Dark fruit, alcohol aroma. Raisin, date, prune, bourbon flavours. The barrel aging really smooths this beer out,...very smooth, easy....much improved over the regular version.

Draft: Deep, nearly clear copper/brown with a moderate tan head. Aroma is faint, caramel malt, alcohol. Taste is woody, caramel, tannic, with a noticeable amount of alcohol. A little rough.

Draft: Light, rubied-brown....tan head with a slight purple cast. Light blackberry aroma. Decent, fresh, blackberry taste....mildly wheaty. malt. Light, but pretty tasty.

Growler. Barley malt and dusty hops aroma. Clear honey gold with a large white head. Barley malt, grassy hops flavor with a light band-aid finish., Medium body, low carbonation.

Growler. Honey and barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet barley malt and hay flavor. Medium body. Band-aid flavor in the finish but fades as it warms. Pretty good.

Draft (growler). Lemon, banana, clove, and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with large white head. Slightly sweet banana, clove, and wheat malt flavor. Light band-aid flavor in the in finish. Pretty good.

Draft. Light toffee malt aroma. Dark amber with small head. Sweet toffee malt flavor. Light body. No off flavors - would have like the malt aroma and flavor to be more forward.
