Description
It all started with a humble homebrew kit and the drive to make better beer. Tired of the same bland and dated choices everywhere, Air Force friends Eric Wallace and Dick Doore set out to make the kind of beer that excited them; beer they wanted to drink. A hobby quickly became an obsession and it wasn't long before Left Hand Brewing opened for business on January 22, 1994. Left Hand has steadily increased its production, making the Brewers Association’s Top 50 Craft Brewers list in 2012.

Can picked up from Loz's Beer Republic Bier Adventskalender Box. Had this at home Christmas Day, Monday 25th December 2023 after a big lunch at Gasthof zum Sonnenwald, Schöfweg, listening to BC Camplight - Last Rotation of Earth. Pours a very light gold with a slight haziness and a white head.Soft mouthfeel, a little bit on the boozy side. Nose is a little too much boozy fumes, some sweetness in the mouth. A little bit unbalanced, there is a fruitiness here but it's just not hitting the right notes.

12oz can. Reasonable ABV helps me enjoy this one, maintains a reasonable Stoutiness even with sort of cheap, artificial tasting flavoring. OK.

Foamy dissipating beige head left a dark brown body. Liquorice & sarsaparilla aroma - minimal. Medium to full, lightly carbonated with a smooth silky finish & cloying aft. Malt, soy sauce, treacle & syrup tastes with a peppery finish. Sipper

Dark yellow colour with thin head. Initial sulphur aroma which dissipates after a while. Beyond that some musty yeast and hay. Malty and sweet with a slightly herbal/spicy note. Ok but is of similar standard to basic Belgian supermarket own brand Tripel.

12oz can. I like the idea, but the execution isn't that impressive. Dextrose or sugar pushed, weak attenuation. Kind of that new school artificial candy dessert taste. I like that they went big, the lactose just kind of sours and gets gross though. Sloppy.
