Description
Beat brewery began as the idea of one man’s daydreaming in corporate training days, which he turned into a reality. Created in Somerset the idea expanded over a couple of years to a point where demand had meant more time & investment was needed. In July 2018 Beat Brewery was purchased by Topcat Brewery Limited and relocated up the M5 and is now brewed in Lye situated in the heart of the West Midlands.

We have made a promise to remain true to all recipes and ingredients that were originally created in Somerset, so to keep that beautiful Beat Brewery taste.

We are a genuine microbrewery.

Handpull cask at the Flowerpot, Derby. Light to mid-gold, clear with a thin white head and a fair bit of lacing. Fresh grassy aroma, some light berry. Slightly buttery/grainy notes in the taste, following on to a bitter finish. Low carbonation. Hard to get excited about.

Cask at Lych Gate Tavern, Wolverhampton Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small cream head and good lacing. Has a vague aroma of malts, but not much more. Texture is fruity but slightly watery, and flavours are mainly fruity hops, darks fruits and grains. Some biscuit and hints of chocolate too. Finish is bitter but with fruity undercurrents. Not bad at all, but I was expect a few more hops.
