Associated Venue: Drekker Brewing Company - Brewhall
Established in 2014
We started as many breweries do; just a couple of friends brewing in a garage who loved great beer, had a crazy dream, and worked their asses off to make it come true. We won’t bore you with some long, meandering story about how we all met, or how the stars aligned for the brewery to come together. If you want to know the whole story, we’ll bore you with it in the taproom or just wait for the Lifetime movie to come out. Really, we’re just four regular guys who are serious about beer and not much else.

Pours a thick, reddish-purple, with big, pink head. Aroma is a bit muted, but has notes of sour berry and marshmallow/vanilla. Flavors follow and are more pronounced. Thick mouthfeel. Pretty tasty stuff on the whole.

Aromas are passionfruit, other fruit, spice, cream and a bit floral. Flavors are similar to nose. More sweet than tart with full creamy body and just right carbonation. Pretty good.

I'm not much of a fan of session IPs, but this isn't too bad. Aromas and flavors are resin and citrus with some malt. Slightly soft carbonation and average body.

Aromas are resin, tropical fruits, citrus, onion and a little floral. Flavors are similar to nose with onion dominating. Add in a little stone fruit. Good balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Good but not great.

Aromas are citrus, resin, a little bit of onion and straw and some spice. Flavors are similar to nose, with good balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Onion comes out a bit more. Been done many times before but very drinkable nonetheless.

Aromas are tropical fruit punch and a touch floral. Flavors are similar to nose with guava and passion fruit standing out. Don't pick up much if any coconut, still it's pretty good. Great balance between sweet, tart and bitter. Mildly sweet finish.

500ml bottle. Jet black colour with minimally late awakening, small, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark brown head. BA supported, sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of chocolate sauce, dark chocolate, sherry, marsala, caramel, some vanilla, treacle, maple syrup, a touch of blueberry, plum butter. Taste is BA supported, sweet-ish, chocloately, dark malty, slightly roasty, dark malty, sweet-ish, caramel malty, notes of sherry, marsala, dark chocolate, maple syrup, caramel, some vanilla, Bourbon, blueberry; minimally warming, alcoholic finish.
Viscous texture, velvety, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, medium to fine, soft carbonation.
Very nice, sadly slightly ephemeral sherry flavours, sweet, harmonious and homogeneous, "uncomplicated" base beer despite its enormous complexity - good.

Tavour: pours purple with light purple head. Not as thick as I remember some other ones from this series. Loads of cherry and sundry berry aroma. Pretty pleasant and smooth. Not overly sweet. I enjoyed it for what it was.
