Van tap bij De Húskeamer in Leeuwarden. Piney, tropisch fruit, citrus, grapefruit, maltzoeten, bitters, carameltonen, harsig. (19-9-2024). 6,4/10. Fles 33cl in Zuidwolde gedeeld. Grapefruit, sinaasappel, hoppig, citrus, redelijk bitter, zepig, fruitig, wat bloemig. (21-3-2025).

Clear dark yellow colour with fluffy head. Interesting mix. It has some spicy, yeasty elements. Perhaps some eucalyptus too. Also a floral, slightly piney hop profile.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, auburn colour with average, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, beige head. Smoky and caramel malty aroma, notes of barbecue sauce, caramel, roasted almonds, smoked wood, a touch of wood ashes. Taste is initially sweet-ish, caramel malty and smoky, sweetness fades away and gives way to smoky woody, slightly ashy and mildly tart-ish, tannic flavours, a touch of green wood. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Very nice aroma, a lack of body prevents better taste/better integration of smoky flavours - decent.

Dark amber colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have toasted malt and a little caramel sweetness. Flavoursome and well balanced.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 16 July 2024) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty nose with notes of toffee, herbs, bread and grass. Malty taste with bread, toffee, herbs, a touch of brown sugar and a mild herbal/grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

0.33 l can from 'Drankgigant.nl', simply as 'Brouwdok / Noordt Meibock'. Slightly hazy, deep amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity-floral aroma of honey, pear, anise, some caramel and light grains. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, malty, moderately fruity-floral taste of grains, nuts, caramel, honey, anise, chamomile and some pear, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit dry finish. Medium to full body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not bad, but very unusual.
