Draft @ Thuskomme, our neighborhood Friesian bar/restaurant. Pours hazy deep golden and a dense white head. Aroma's: grainish, leafy hops, floral, a bit herbal. Retronasal there's caramel malt, bitterness, a bit fruit. Flavour is moderate bitter and light malty sweet. Light bodied. Quite a lot of carbonation. Fairly bitter finish. Solid.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier met een volle bruinige schuimkraag. Het aroma van chocolade en koffie. De smaak is vol, zacht zoet, caramel en chocolade en koffie in de afdronk. Drukte heerlijk weg.

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', best before August 2023. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, gently yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, clove and some grains. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, gently yeasty-spicy taste of banana, clove, some grains and a touch of honey, followed by a short, quite yeasty-spicy, gently bitter finish. Thin to medium body, smooth but quite effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. A solid Hefeweizen, doesn't taste like a Witbier at all. Apart from the phenols, I don't even get the coriander or the orange peel. Strange.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orange, brass colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Bready malty and spicy aroma, hints of coriander, a touch of horseradish, even whiffs of wasabi. Taste is slightly dry, bready malty and spicy, minimally diluted hints of coriander, horseradish, a very mild and diluted touch of wasabi. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Rather earthy spiciness, no hints of fruitiness, therefore only limited refreshing character - so-so.

Koriander en citus, ik mis alleen de dille en de zalm nog, dacht probeer weer eens een wit, maar heb nu alweer genoeg gehad voor de komende jaren
