Bottle: Golden coloured with a mid-sized stable white head; fresh resinous-hoppy nose with traces of sweet malt; solid, robusr bitter-sweet flavour, medium body and gentle MF; distinctively lingering herbal hops in the quite dry bitter finish. A well rounded, moreish pale Bock........

Bottled. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with a dusty note of hops. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of hops, caramel, and butter, leading to a slightly bitter end.

Bottle, 5.2%. The flavour is a bit thin and a little sweet. OK mouthfeel, though. In the end, partly saved by the alcohol.

(Bottle 33 cl) Ordinary pilsener colour with a decent head. Quite aromatic hop character, but a bit too sharp and one-dimensional bitterness for my liking. 290702

(Bottle 50 cl) Rather pale for a Bock, actually not any darker than a standard pilsener, with a small creamy head. Hoppy nose with notes of alcohol. Very solid body with a marked sweetness and a warming alcohol. A potent and rather delicious brew. 220702

(Bottle 33 cl) Pretty, golden beer with a dense head. Mild and moderately hoppy with a soft mouthfeel. Pleasant malty body - and a bit stronger than a standard German pilsener. 130702

(Bottle 25 cl) There aren’t many German porters around, but this is one of the few. Deep reddish brown rather than black with a light brown head. Malty, roasted aroma. Flavour is full of hard roasted malt, not really burned or smoked, but it does indeed come with a long, bitter finish. 040602
