Description
Hoepfner is a traditional company. Founded in 1798, the brewery is one of the oldest still active companies in Karlsruhe. It is still brewed and bottled in the "Hoepfner Burg", built in 1896 in the east of Karlsruhe. “A breath of fresh air in old walls” expresses the will to combine the tried and tested with new ideas. A highly modern and innovative company can be found within the historic walls, which is run according to the company guidelines “Quality, Continuity and Partnership”.

Bottle in some anarchist place in Karlsruhe. Straight from the bottle which looks decent. Soft malts, hop extract, light grass and soft citrus peel. Light sweet and almost medium bitter. Bit crisp feel.

Many thanks to kevnic2008 for this bottle. Smooth mild beginning. Round with a refreshing smooth body, hints of burned caramel, moderate bitter with a grainy and somehow dusty body. Long but grainy aftertaste with a moderate bitterness and not too much caramel or burned sugar. Ok.

Pours hazy golden with creamy white head. Fruity aroma. Lots of banana in flavor, yeast, wheat.

Pours a dark brown color, almost black, with an off white head. Aromas of roasted malt, some coffee.
