Weak hay, light chemical aroma. Crystal clear yellow, medium head. Honey and hay flavor, not strong. Tangy lemon notes also present. Fizzy. I’m sure most will dismiss this as just another weak pale lager, but I somehow enjoy these Indian lagers for their residual sweetness.

Pours well golden, not as straw-like as some pissy lagers. Head, carbonation not overly fizzy but fizzy nonetheless. Smells light contaminated from the green bottle and tastes a little skunky as a result - for me, for a lager, this isn’t a bad thing. Actually reasonably drinkable. Bottle.

Bottle. Poured pale yellow with a medium frothy white head. Dissipated fairly quickly with some lacing. Aroma is grainy with some malt. Flavor is also grainy, malty, watery with a touch of bitterness. Unpleasant aftertaste.

Originally rated August 2004. Pours a golden-yellow colour with a white head. Light carbonation, head settles down quickly enough. O.K. Some lacing. Aromas are very mild, almost non-existing. So is the taste. Much prefered the Taj Mahal that this brewery does (both premium lagers). Also, this one comes in a green bottle, the Taj, in a brown. Refreshing as water.

Bottle at home in London with Lyoli. Pours clear, dim yellow with a frothy, white head. Cereal, hay and just hints of fresh cardboard in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor, some cereal, faint lemony tang, some dough, hay, light metal and grass. Light bodied with fine, fizzy carbonation. Crisp, light sweet finish, a bit of dry metal and hay bitterness, modest cereal and toasty dough. A very solid pale lager overall. Good stuff.
