330ml bottle, brewed in the UK by Shepherd Neame. I’m surprised I haven’t rated this before, as it’s my prefered accompaniment to a curry. Pale straw with a thin white head, and low carbonation; grassy aroma; sweet creael flavour but with a reasonable bout of bitterness cutting through. Not a beer to drink by itself, but great with the right food.

Malty. Decent. (This beer rating was imported from FB and unfortunately lacks any further comments.) Rerating 31.5.2012 Smell of rubber and overripe peach. Aroma of apple and alcohol. Sweet aftertaste. No trace of the advertised bitterness.

11 oz brown bottle into Sam Adams glass. Found this at a convenience store in CDA, ID. I was amazed to find a new country for me at this little shitsplat store. Just what I need, though: another pale lager. When I pop the top, what do I smell? Rank skunk. Ouch. Quite grassy. Pours a clear gold with a quickly dissipating white head that falls into a collar and light skiff of foam. Taste is sweet and grassy, gross. Medium-high carbonation and medium body, dry. Salty aftertaste. Not the worst beer ever, but pretty dang close. It looks pretty small after the Firestone Walker 14 I had before this.

[500ml bottle that Dave shared with me] Brewed under contract at Shepherd Neame. Beer drinking work colleagues in Mumbai say how they travel miles to avoid this stuff and pay premium pricess for the exotic wonders of Stella and Guinness, so I didn’t hold out much hope for it! It’s an unnatural vivid yallow with a small, rapidly dissipating white head and a soft, half-hearted fizz. Lots of corn up front, quite sweet in fact - think there might be the odd adjunct here! Which is a shame, because unlike many industrial lagers there’s clearly still some noble hops in there - lemon and grass come through clearly after a while. I’m left with the impression of a beer that was once better than this (albeit only a little better), but that has been ruined (like many macro beers) by cost-cutting accountants.

Purchased from Breeze Thru Liquors in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend before a big storm and also before seeing Hangover 2. Appearance is a very light pale yellow with a thin bubbly white head. Aroma of water, corn, a bit grassy, very very light and really non-apparent. Taste is pretty bland, weird corn aftertaste that becomes slightly crisp. This borders on drinkable and \"why would I want to drink that?\", but more on the side of drinkable. If it’s the only option at an Indian restaurant, I may go for it.

1 pint 6 oz. bottle. Clear gold, white head that disappears rapidly. Good carbonation. A rice and mild skunk in the nose. Not much taste at all. It’s a pale lager how much can you really say? Not a lot.

0.33l bottle @ Dampen, Bergen. Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small white lager head. Aroma is thin and grainy with hints of dusty and sour hops. Lively carbonated and thin bodied. Tastes your everyday lager with dusty hops, slightly malty and a thin bitter and slightly sour finish. Not all that more to say about this actually.

From a big odd slender shaped bomber bottle. Nice label on mine. Looks very sizzly and clear yellow in the glass. A kindah sterile or slight metallic background on the olfactory. Constant quarter inch foamy head. Taste is a little cardboard at first. Good palate, but on the buds it is somewhat laid back but still gets a beer point across. Continues to look good in the glass. Could be little more civilized for a lager, weird almost paper or hay background which is not tart. Unique fer sure on the lager flavors.

bottle@restaurant: typical clear, adjunct yellow colour, tastes like corn syrup & cornflakes/cereal, tastes a bit like Smacks according to my friends, really sweet, not very good (British version)
