One of the worst beers that I have ever had! Drank with ilovedarkbeer. Pours with a hazy, yellow body. Horribly trash-can skunked aroma. Garbage and woodchip taste with a ton of buttery diacetyl and creamed corn DMS. Burnt plastic. Rotten food. Truly foul. The worst beer I’ve tried

Bottle. Brewed by Blossom Industries, LLC for United Breweries Ltd. Now subtitled Indian Pilsner. Aroma of light floral/grassy hop. Dark gold color with not much of a white head. Near medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is light malt, with just enough grassy hop to show up. That said it’s actually rather pleasant, if you don’t concentrate on what beer could be. The finish turns a little bitter. Good for a pale lager, not impressive as a pilsner. Still, it’s clean, and might be considered refreshing.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, golden with a small, rough, white head. Aroma of brewing cereal and alcohol. Full-bodied, notes of sweet, unclean brewing cereal and a somewhat fusty edge. The finish is brutal alcohol only. Amazingly unclean and typical Indian. I wonder what they put in this to prevent infection - well, I guess I’d rather not know. 120208

660ml bottle at Mother India in Oslo. Clear and bright golden body. Fast diminishing white head. Faint smell of brown rice. Dry and sweet hops are present in the taste, especially when it warms up. Watered palate. Alright with spicy indian food (Oslo,12.02.2008).

0.33 l green bottle from Farmah Indien Supermarkt in Graz (thanks Doggythedog for the tip!). Poured pale yellow body with big head going down quite fastly. Well, aroma is pretty repulsive, dusty and malty. Flavor isn’t that bad though, somewhat spiced, let’s say interesting, but quite empty bodied. Finish is again worsen as flavor turns into something bland, fortunately short. Well, not any worser than many of Austrian or any macros, but still did not like it too much.

Bottle. Pour looks an awful lot like an uninteresting lager. Smells about the same... grassy, skunky hops, blah, blah, blah. Flavor is fairly grainy... kind of like grain dust with a corn/rice sweetness. Given the grassy/skunky nose, I expected a Heineken-like hops presence, but I can’t find it. Could be worse, could be better.
