Description
Von Ebert is owned and operated by Tom Cook, Dennis January, Eric Simko and Tom S. Cook. Tom S Cook, “Von Ebert Brewing was named after my Great Grandmother Ebert. She was the guiding force to my immigrant family when they came over from Germany to the United States in the early 1900’s. The family name Von Ebert translates to “of the house of Ebert. As Ebert roughly translates to boar in German our theme was born.”
Our trident approach to brewing encompasses what we love most about craft beer. We focus on clean drinking lagers, traditional and experimental hoppy ales, and our mixed culture fermentation program. Each of our breweries has a unique focus. Glendoveer houses our mixed culture and more experimental fermentation, while the Pearl hits heavy with IPAs and German inspired lagers. Between the two breweries we are consistently churning out new and exciting beers, be sure to stop in often to see what’s new!

On tap at Von Ebert, pours a clear dull copper with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of earthy black tea notes, not a whole lot else. Flavour is along the same lines, with lactose upfront, followed by earthy black tea, and a tiny hint of passionfruit. Earthy and tea-like on the finish. Decent.

Tap at the brewery. This is a really smart beer in my opinion. Its litrrally like corona and lime poured straight from the tap. Surprisingly delicious.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a pitch black color with a medium tan head. A big sweet hot barrel nose and smoke. Sugary sweet barrel, hot, some dark fruit, spicy rye, lighter smoked malts. Very good. Excellent in fact.
