The name was inspired by the windswept beaches here in Lossiemouth on the Moray coast where like-minded adventurers gather to pursue their outdoor passions whatever the weather. Al and Nigel felt strongly that the brand should capture the spirit of rugged adventure found here on the edge of the Scottish Highlands. After all, a great pint tastes best when you’ve earned it.
All of our bottled beer is bottle conditioned. A small amount of yeast is added at bottling which allows the beer to ferment further in the bottle. This creates a natural soft carbonation with smaller bubbles. Light filtration and a minimum of mechanical intervention also help to retain all the vivid and defined hop flavours that our brewers work hard to get into the beer. The result – real ale in a bottle.

Bottle thanks to the father in law. It pours clear deep red / ruby with a thick, fluffy light tan head. The aroma is sweet - sour, tangy, natural yoghurt, red fruits, rhubarb, raspberry, light jamminess, damp wood, leafiness and earth. The taste is dry, tart, tangy, lactic, jammy, vinous, red berry, redcurrant, raspberry, grape, rhubarb, nip of acidity, splash of red wine vinegar, light tannin, earthy, damp leaves and woody notes with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Works pretty well. Decent interpretation of the style. Fun.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours cloudy orangey - blonde with a thick, foamy off white head. The aroma fresh, bright, orangey fruits, tangerine, mango, orange creamsicle, sherbet, floral accents, Hubba bubba and a touch of spice. The taste is dryish, yet smoothes out, bitter - sweet, juicy, tropical fruit vibes, peach, tangerine, apricot, mango, fanta, touch green, weedy, orange chewits, floury bread, floral accents and just a hint of alcohol with a drying, orangey finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Really nice vibrant fruitiness. Nice one.
