More caramel color gives an artificial light amber color, essentially no fizz. Weird off-apple chemically aroma. Unexpectedly, the full stolid sweet apple flavor is well balanced, with true rich apple flavor. Brown sugar? One of their best.

Caramel color additives give this the barest hint of straw to beige color - it might be better off clear. Light fizz. Off-apple aroma, bitter-apple flavor. Moderate tartness and dry finish - a bonus that its not a sweet beverage, but its apple flavors are indistinct and muddled, bordering on artificial. I’m not entirely sure that granny smiths are the best apple for cider.

Not bad. Auburn tinted amber, with moderate fizz. Aroma is weak, of candy apples. Flavor is more sour-apple candy, modestly sweet, with a semi-dry finish. Despite its relative dryness this is overall a sweet fruity drink that does little to attract me. Its thin yet somewhat heavy-handed fruit body provides little complexity.

Not a true perry but a cider base with pear flavorings. Nevertheless, the big surprise of the night is how much I enjoyed this! Aroma is not great, with pears, alcohol, and pepper. The palate is nicely dry and soft with an authentic squishy ripe pear flavor. Carbonation is present but does not draw attention. I was happy to find this not sweet at all - its something I’d definitely drink again. Curiously pale, hardly any color at all, light rising of foam that quickly dissipates, as one would expect (no proteins in this?)

Golden in color. NO head at all. Some carbonation, but without even a hint of a head, this looks unappealing to me. Nice typical cider smell. Taste is the same... very cidery, and nice... for the first few sips. After awhile, it gets old, and I wanted a real beer after about a quarter of the glass. Not drinkable in large quantities. Have a small sampler glass, that's about it.

A strong amber coloured body with absolutely no head. Aroma of green apples, caster sugar, caramel and a slight amount of red apples. Sweet taste of red apples mixed with a bit of the granny smith tartness. Aftertaste is somewhat dry, but overall a bit sweet. The alcohol is hidden really well in this cider, I can detect nothing! Overall, a decent cider-good for a drinker who doesn't want that 'harsh alcoholic note'. I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia and sampled it on 22-December-2003.

Ruby tinted brown colour with absolutely no head. Aroma of green granny smith apples, brown sugar and limes. Light-bodied; Very sweet, definately sour and reminiscent of apple cider. Aftertaste sweet and sout, but left nice. Overall, this drink is actually refreshing and fairly full tasting compared to Strongbow! I had this pint on draught at MacGregor's in Rochester, New York.

Yellow fizzy, you know the drill. I liked the pear, but this one did not taste fresh. Artificial sweet apple taste. I was hoping for a crisp bitter flavor, but it didnt deliver. way too sweet. I think about 10 years ago when I had the pear, woodchuck was less commercial and thus made a better product.

I don't really understand what qualifies this as a beer. It is a fermented fruit beverage. Anyway it still tastes pretty good. It is good in small doses, I can't see spending an evening drinking these.
