No rememberable aroma. This is darker than a pale ale. Medium bitterness that is more than I desire. Averagely soft carbonation. Overall was better than a typical pale yellow american beer. From the amish country of PA. Better than Lion Stout, that’s fer sher.

Lively. Just a slight fruity aroma, if any. Not overly fruity and can barely taste any strawberry at all, but that don’t subtract from the enjoyability of this beer. Could detect an ever so slight amount of bitterness. OK, second bottle; now I taste the added strawberry flavors. It says right on the bottle, the flavor was added! The last fruit beer I tasted was abita purple haze. This is much much better than that. This has a really nifty prickly little teeny bubbles carbonation. Of all the beers in my ’fridge (about 8 different kinds) I found myself reaching for this. Very easy to drink and enjoy. Best of the fruit beers I’ve tasted.

My first milk stout but my third sweet stout. Not too much aroma. For some reaon I was expecting a somewhat sweeter brew. I guess stout is stout, milk or sweet, it still has a background bitterness to it. Had a very slight sense of smokeyness or burnt background in there. This stout is mild compared to the bitterness of Lion stout. Overall it is not an offensive brew. Has a roasty linger on the finish that lasts for a while.

Rating # 550; Bottle from The_Epeeist; Thanks Chris; Nose is malty with light chocolate hints; Transparent but extremely dark walnut with a tiny, disappearing, tan head; flavor is roasty coffee malts with a hint of smokiness.

Bottle pours a slightly hazy light orange/amber witha very nice full creamy sandy colored head. Quite attractive. Thick persistant lacing. Aroma is fairly mild for the style, and has nice citrusy, notes to it. Flavor is actually quite tame for an IPA. I expected a lot more hoppiness, even after smelling it. The malt body, is nice, slightly woody, lightly toasted, and fairly dry and a bit thin. Balanced overall I’d say, but not a very daring entry. Hop pigglett maybe. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a ruby caramel color with a small orange-white head. The aroma is light sour malts with a dry grainy element and a hint of floral hops. The flavor is moderate dry grainy malts with a tangy middle and a hint of floral hops on the finish. A dry bitterness that I believe is rye is lightly present.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a medium golden color with a medium sized yellow-tan head. The aroma is lightly yeasty and has a light floral hop element. The flavor is yeasty and mildly bitter with a dry yet tangy finish.

bottle sample at Dark Lord Day - Pours very dark brown with roast malts and chocolate in the light aroma. I was picking up a lot of coffee in the roast malt flavor. I thought it almost tasted like a stout. The finish was dry. It is warming as advertised. It could be a touch more full. Pretty good though.

Bottle. Dark orange color. Slightly foamy head. Nice flavor and smell. Very hoppy, and quite smooth with a clean finish.
