Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 28/03/21. Lightly hazed orange amber with an off white cap. Nose is sweet malts, floral tones, orange peel, pineapple, grass. Taste comprises airy malts, tangerine, grass, light pine nip, melon, papaya. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with balanced hop bitterness. Passable IPA if stuck a little in third gear.

0.33 l can from 'OnderNulPuntVijf', best before August 2021. Slightly hazy, orangeish amber with a large, fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-resiny and slightly metallic aroma of orange, mango, rubber and iron. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, gently fruity-floral and rather metallic taste of rubber, iron, orange and mango, followed by a short, quite bitter, nasty, metallic and dry finish. Thin body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Extremely unpleasant due to an over-whelming metallic, rubber-like taste. Really bad.

31/3/2021. Can sample courtesy of SHIG cheers. Pours clear golden amber with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, orange, grass, flowers, pine. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Pretty decent.

Can: Poured a golden with a white head. Aroma is piney, resin, perfume, some fruit. Taste is bitter hops, sweet malt backbone.

Thin beige head left a spotty cover on an amber coloured body. Punchy fruity & hoppy aroma. Medium bodied, sharp with a smooth back. Pine, bubble gum, butterscotch, light malt & sweet tropical tastes. Standard.

Beer52 CyberFest 5. Creamy tan head on a still black body.alt, coal & tobacco aroma. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated with a dry back. Malt, tar, liquorice, spiced, roasted & tobacco tastes. Good one!

Pour honorer Saint Patrick, autant boire irlandais ! New England Pale Ale intégrant Azacca et Citra, titrant à 4 % et présentant 25 d'IBU avec houblonnage à cru, cette Avalanche jouit d'arômes très agréables d'herbes, de pamplemousse, de pêche et de zest d'orange très agréables avec une complexité honorable (provenant notamment d'un houblonnage à cru efficace). Les 4 % ne sont cependant pas à la hauteur et l'ensemble manque de vivacité et de caractère. Le visuel est sur un blond paille très pâle, voilé, avec une mousse blanche abondante. Le nez présente quant à lui un bel houblonnage à cru sur les herbes, le pamplemousse, la pêche et le zest d'orange. En bouche l'ensemble est rafraichissant à défaut d'être punchy. Les herbes sont dominantes sur l'attaque avec un léger poivre, de la pêche, du pamplemousse et du zest d'orange. L'amertume bien dosée mais sur la seconde bouche l'alcool n'arrive pas à enlever l'ensemble. L'intensité est cependant très acceptable. L'arrière-bouche est intéressante, sur une amertume bien servie par le houblonnage à cru. Final gentillet, davantage sur le fruit et un peu plat. Un peu de nervosité ne fait jamais de mal.

440ml. can. @home, 14/03/2021. Scotland vs Ireland Six Nations match. [#3.825 Global - #105 Ireland - #3 Wicklow Wolf Brewing Company] Pours jet black with a small tan head. Poor retention, no lacing. Aroma: peanut butter, smoked malts, molasses and dark chocolate. Taste: peanut butter and dark chocolate. Roasty finish. Medium bodied.

Jolie découverte avec cette Elevation Pale Ale de la brasserie Wicklow Wolf, que je trouve quelque peu sous-estimée sur le site. Arômes d'herbes, d'ananas, pamplemousse de zest d'orange agréables et bien portés par une amertume racée (35 d'IBU) avec un houblonnage à cru efficace ainsi qu'un alcool à 4,8 % d'une bonne efficacité. Le visuel n'est pas en reste avec un blond paille très légèrement voilé surmonté d'une mousse blanche crémeuse de 3 cm. Le nez est racé avec un bel houblonnage à cru : ananas, herbes et zest d'orange au programme. Le nez est sur cette lancée avec toujours une belle amertume sur des arômes d'herbes, ananas, orange et pamplemousse. En deuxième bouche, le fruit passe plus en avant. On regrettera tout de même une densité aromatique un peu légère. L'arrière bouche, plus racée donne un bon contraste. Le final, d'une longueur honnête fait quant à lui bien ressortir le houblonnage à cru. Sympathique ce loup.
