Deep brown coloured body, full of haze with a dense tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and a good nuttiness. Medium-bodied; Nice pleasant maltiness with a bit of spices and some brown sugar tastes. Aftertaste shows some mild sugars and a little yeast with a tiny bit of nutty bitterness. Overall, a good Ur-bock, perhaps a little light, but not bad. I sampled this 33 cL glass on draught at Gasthaus zum Eisernen Steg in Frankfurt-Am-Mai, Germany on 21-February-2009.

Medium-bodied; Pungent citrus, hay and dry tastin up front with citrus and a very light hoppiness behind. Aftertaste is a bit bitter with a lot of citrus twanginess behind. Bottled, thanks bolagshataren. Clear golden, faint head. Offputting aroma of stale butter, boiled peas and vomit. Sweet and fruity, medium bodied with clean mouthfeel. Fairly low bitterness. The compost heap/vomit flavours never lets go, making it absolutely untolerable.
