Bottle date 01 06 04. Deep chestnut brown color that is clear and brilliant with a huge tan head that is thick and frothy as expected. Sweet caramel malt and fruity yeast aromas. The flavor is rich and malty with a well balanced tangy finish. Lots of dextrins make this one rich and filling. Very smooth and well done.

This Weisse pours a cloudy yellow colour with a bright white foamy head. Scents typical of a wheat beer, yeasty with some fruit notes. First taste was very good. Initial taste was that of yeast with a small amount of cloves thrown in. Good carbonation. The finish was nice that it didn’t have a over taste of yeast like some other wheat beers I’ve had have. The palate was some what clean with lingering flavours of fruit and cloves. All around good wheat!

Cloudy brown color, medium off-white head. Aroma is malty like a bock, and grainy and banana like a weizen, with a little lactic hint and some smoked notes. Full taste, quite sweet but refreshing. Not a sticky palate, but a full spicy palate.

Golden with a slight haze. Bready, slightly biscuity aroma. Evenly balanced, with some biscuity notes and an off-dry finish. Right down the middle for the style, and nicely executed.

Bottle: Poured a light hazy yellow beer with a nice head with standard retention. Aroma is mostly comprised of wheat. Taste is very refreshing with the wheat taking a lot of place. There is a small but discernable taste of water at the end that I would have wish not to taste. Overall, this is a very refreshing wheat beer perfect for those hot summer days.

Cloudy dull tan colour with bleached white head - a little uninspiring to look at. Aroma of banana, spice (nutmeg, mainly), and slight tobaccoey smoke phenols. Full body for style - creamy and filling. Spritzy carbonation cuts through this fairly thick presentation. Lots of malt, but it’s well-balanced with herbal hops. Definitely hoppy for the style, though you not overly so like some American wheats. Some tropical fruit esters as well. Sweet, slightly yeasty finish. Well-made, robust wheat beer.

Hazy brown beer, with a swwet vinous aroma, with some oranges. Sweet malt and caramles, and spices (from yeast?), very nice and alluring in the mouth. Medium body. Yummy.

Rerate at Starkbieranstich Cloudy brown, brown cream. Great smoke and roast banana aroma, berry. Creamy, fruity rich finish. Super drinkable and flavorful. Old rating: Banana and yeast nose. Cloudy red brown, brown creamy head. Tastenotes of banana, berries and yeast - a bit like Aventinus, just a tad lighter. It is surprisingly lightbodied and drinkable actually - hides strength well.

Probably the best looking wheat beer I've seen. Huge ruby, orange, mudddy brown, garnet tones. They're all there. Huge amount of sediment. Lovely large beige head. Aroma of balsamic vinegar meets sweet milk chocolate. Immediately a vinegary sour/sweet flavor jumps in. Quite sharp. Soon there is a much more mellow wheat-banana flavor. Flavor is a slow downhill with the finish being fairly unimpressive. Spritzy, high amount of carbonation. Fairly weak on the palate, but still pretty tasty. Like a simple man's aventinus. Why is this so watery??? Thanks for sendin this one over Oakes.

Beautifully dark colour with a aroma of smoked cloves. The initial sip reminded me for the first time ever of bologna, and lots of it! Descent bock except for the beef by products!!
